'Thank you for one of the most useful, challenging and thought provoking courses that I have ever been a part of. I have recommended this course to all of my friends, and personally think it should be a compulsory course because we just don't get taught these things otherwise.' T. Lick.
'I would like to say again, thank you soooo much for this semester. I have learnt so much and I can see an immense change in myself. I was so shy at the beginning of this course. This was because I lacked confidence in myself and I always thought I wasn't good enough. Now I feel so much more comfortable and I don't feel as shy to speak up or try to talk to people. I really wish this course was introduced earlier. I will highly recommend it to all my friends.' B. Lee.
'This course has been rewarding in so many ways. I have developed a better understanding of the strategies I can use to perform to my maximum potential. I have also developed a strong set of goals and motivation for life which I just didn't have before. The main benefit I have received from participating in this course is a better awareness of my own thoughts and feelings. I do have a lot of hard work ahead of me, but through completing this course I feel like I am equipped to succeed to my maximum potential. Thank you for your support and guidance, Scarlet. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life so far and I feel I have learnt so much from you. I really think this course should be compulsory.' R. Lole.
'By far the biggest benefit that I have gotten out of the course has been identifying and challenging my thinking. Everything I do has improved and continues to improve with my new knowledge. From working, studying, playing music, interacting with others, making decisions, just everything! I am also much more aware of how my brain works and to treat it kindly and work smart when it comes to practice and time management. Ideas of periodisation, goal-based practice and a mastery approach have all been useful in this areas. I could go on listing the entire course because it was all really good. I only wish I had done this course before I started my degree rather than at the end of it. So thanks, Scarlet, your course has made an immeasurable difference to me.' C. Stewart.
'I found this to be an extremely interesting course. It has helped me with many elements of performance that I didn't think were important. The tactics I learnt to control my anxiety have helped dramatically. Scarlet you have been great. I love the way you keep it interesting and you bring a great vibe to the classroom.' C. Gracie.
'I feel the most valuable thing this course has given me is the opportunity to identify my key character strengths. Somehow my belief in reaching my professional goals has been affirmed and strengthened by the sheer fact that I now know I possess the qualities my profession requires.' M. Coustas.
'I have to say, Scarlet, that this course was so very thorough. It included material I would not have known existed otherwise. I'd sincerely like to thank you for all the hard work you poured into the course. It has helped me beyond belief on my own journey and I'm sure the same can be said for others. I really appreciate the time you put in so that we were able to get the most out of it. I am truly indebted!' E. Bennett.
'If only this course was available in my first year. It contains all the vital knowledge needed to succeed. I can leave this course with a profound knowledge of how to set goals and then achieve them, how to change behaviours and achieve the desirable state of practice and performance. The information was also illustrated in a clear manner making it accessible to take on board and apply in real life.' L. Gonzalez.
'This course has helped my in numerous ways. Firstly, I realized that performance anxiety was a common thing, something that many people suffer with, and I stopped feeling bad about it. The first two lectures really helped me identify ways to treat the problems I have with performing. In the motivation and goals lecture, I was able to apply each goal and motivation type to my own traits, and now I am working on ways to change them. I see the positives to working on the process rather than the outcome. I came to realise (due to the information in the course) that negative self-talk was a problem for me and that I had to change this. I have seen very positive results in my ability to get work in on time and not be rushing to get things in just before the deadline. It has helped my stress levels and overall quality of life. I feel that I can achieve my goals now. This course has benefited me in ways I could not have imagined and I am very happy.' T. Goddard.
'This course has been useful and interesting and I want to say thank you again for everything!' J. Kirchner.
'I have learnt a lot about how I can take more control over my situation and outcomes. I now have tools that can help move me in the direction I want to go more effectively than if I had to work it out myself through experience. I think the benefits of this course will continue to reveal themselves over a long period of time, but at the same time there are SO many thing which I've been using straight away.' A. Fedorivitch.
'I found that the content was highly relevant to the sorts of issues I have personally faced over the last few years and continue to face on a daily basis. The fact that I have actually been inspired and driven enough to implement a new routine as a direct result of this course is a hallmark sign of its effectiveness and relevance. Thanks so much for a great semester.' J Huntingford.
