Day 2: Creative Challenge

The creative challenge is building momentum with some fabulous projects underway. Without further ado:

Opera singer and...how shall I put this...strange bedfellow, Kanen Breen, has transformed a $500 Sass & Bide vest that he picked up for the princely sum of $30 from St Vinnies, from a virginal, red-wine attracting white, to a funky, timeless black. It's a show stopper. Can you imagine the gasps of envy when he wears this remarkable piece? The man. The legend!

I can't draw. Know the feeling? So in the spirit of challenge, I decided to pick up a pencil and sketchbook for the first time since primary school. Try something new, I told myself. Embrace this project and break out of your comfort zone. There's only one subject that could inspire me to take on such a fear-provoking adventure: horses. I did a pencil sketch and then I photographed the drawing and played with it in a couple of different graphics programs. Not a disgraceful first effort, and not as embarrassing as I expected it to be.

Opera singer and photographer, Stephen Bennett - bolstered by the successful living room premiere of his first composition yesterday - launched himself into a second micro composition today. And he has the score to prove it. The man is on a roll.
