Born on the land in country Australia, Scarlet spent her formative years with her imagination, an entourage of loyal animal friends, and the complete Encyclopedia Britannica. Not much has changed. She remains deeply connected to the land, passionately involved in relationships with animals, and endlessly fascinated by the amazing world we live in. A lifelong seeker, she is drawn to explore life’s mysteries from a range of perspectives, through undergraduate study in history and comparative religion, and a Masters degree in Psychology.
Scarlet’s writing reflects this psychological bent, with strong, sharply drawn characters, snappy dialogue and fast-paced narratives. She writes in the contemporary fiction and crime fiction genres.
Scarlet’s debut novel, Striking Out, was published by Firefield Press in 2015. She is currently taking her second novel, Pride Comes Before, to market.
Scarlet lives in Australia’s capital, but spends much of her time on a private 60-acre bush plot with her four rescue horses and a rescued Irish Wolfhound with every anxiety disorder known to veterinary medicine.
